On Billions Season 7 Episode 1 Premiere, Prince’s political ambitions come with a surprising twist, and his intentions are met with skepticism. Wendy, Wags, and Taylor turn to an old friend for guidance. Chuck aligns with an unlikely ally in hopes of leveraging his freedom.

Warning… Spoilers below!

On Billions Season 7 Episode 2, Wendy, Taylor, and Wags traveled to Axe’s castle under Mike Prince’s direction. However, he was completely unaware their true mission was to enlist Axe in torpedoing his presidential campaign.

Picky Political Campaign Manager

Meanwhile, Daevisha retracted Chuck Rhoades’ charges due to insufficient evidence. With Chuck described as the Robinhood of New York, he skated free. Later on, Chuck and Dave convened about their strategy for targeting Mike Prince.

Mike spoke with the top political strategist, Bradford Luke (portrayed by Babak Tafti), who was extremely picky and dubious of his presidential hopeful. He challenged Prince to be even better in his field to produce near-impossible returns next quarter. He challenged to meet Mike’s wife, Andy Salter (portrayed by Piper Perabo.) A marriage in politics was subject to scrutiny, and he wasn’t immune.

Prince was presented with an amazing telehealth idea he would use to “relate” to middle America. He phones Andy, who expected his call now that he’s running for President.

Bradford returned to Mike, warning him to pull out of the telehealth company as a massive lawsuit was impending. Mike heeded the warning and challenged his team to find a better company to straddle.

The Concept of Original Sin

Wags tried to convince Axe to return to the States, yet he needed immunity and an escape route before considering.

Wendy pleaded her case to Axe. They’ve built and torn companies down before but needed his help destroying a powerful Presidential campaign.

Check sought Ari Spyros for reinstatement as Attorney General since he had the President’s ear. Then, Chuck visited his former nemesis in prison, Waylon Jeffcoat (portrayed by Clancy Brown). He requested he admit to willfully recommending his removal as Attorney General, and he would work to have him released from prison. Waylon laughed him out of the prison, rejecting the offer.

Chuck reconvened with Ari, showing him a video of Waylon Jeffcoat admitting to his wrongdoing in getting Rhoades removed as Attorney General and supporting his reinstatement. Ari couldn’t believe it, but it convinced him to take Chuck’s plea to the President. Chuck offered him a new pair of cowboy boots as a peace offering.

Victor dug more into the telehealth lawsuit and discovered the opposing physician was into dirt- he illegally sold prescriptions. The dirty doctor conceded. Victor reported the victory to Mike. Bradford returned with the pivot in the lawsuit, sharing his interest in Prince’s campaign has been piqued.

Dollar made a shady trade move, and Philip confronted him. They played money poker as a wager. Philip won dollar poker, which means Dollar’s trades have to be transparent and monitored.

Mr. & Mrs. Prince for President

Mike and Andy’s staged intimacy required something genuine, so Andy suggested they take Molly to get into the mood so they seemed like a real couple when Bradford met them.

Chuck eagerly awaited the President’s call…

As Wendy, Wags, and Taylor awaited Axe’s decision to return with them. He redirected them to stay in Europe. They all declined his offer. Axe recommended they help Prince get elected so he was out of their way for good.

Bradford saw through their “open” marriage. He needed the names of both their partners in the last five years to ensure their silence. The two had to be a real couple moving forward, and they agreed. Bradford signed on as the campaign manager. Then, Mike Prince officially announced his run as an independent candidate for the President of the United States with his wife by his side.

Meanwhile, Chuck received a standing ovation and resumed as Attorney General after receiving blessings from the President

“Original Sin”

Wendy, Taylor, and Wags hit up Axe’s swanky European castle with a secret mission to torpedo Mike Prince’s presidential dreams. Mike Prince, meanwhile, dances around politics, a telehealth venture, and an “open” marriage that becomes very public during his presidential bid. And Chuck? After some serious wheeling and dealing, and cowboy boot diplomacy, he’s back in the saddle as Attorney General to a chorus of applause. 🎭🇺🇸👢🎉
