Warning… Speculations and spoilers below!
On The Chi Season 6 Episode 3, while Emmett cleaned his old apartment, Tiff stopped by. It felt like the last episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air LOL!
Housewarming Gift
Meanwhile, at Smokey’s, Papa properly handled a disgruntled customer who disrespected Kenya. Jamal wanted to meet Lynae’s boyfriend, Bakari, knowing he worked for Douda, which meant he was a bad influence.
Emmett returned home that evening, and Kiesha was preparing for their housewarming the next day. The next day, Kiesha met her old friend Malaysia reminiscing on Emmett’s shaky past.
As awkward as it could have been, Tiff and Rob came to Emmett and Ke=iesha’s housewarming. Jada met Deondray (the realtor who sold Emmett the home.) looking to fix him up with Tracy.
Nina preached to her daughter, Kiesha, about the new house, inheriting three kids in addition to her single child- all without nuptials. Nina backed off from parenting to show support. Nina ranted to Dre about Kiesha not consulting a major decision without her.
The room was silenced when Douda and his crew crashed the party. Douda gifted Emmett a pistol!
Emmett disagreed with the weapon. However, Douda convinced him that bosses require protection, and he never leaves home without his. Emmett practiced drawing the gun, dropped it, then tucked it into the dresser.
You’ve Been Warned
Nuck tried to fire up some weed, but Kiesha kicked him outdoors. Rob joined him and puffed smooth organic weed without choking. It was an opportunity for Rob to pick Nuck’s brain about his former employer, Q, who was Rob’s uncle. Nuck claimed that he owed Tracy money, and Victor got upset about it. He claimed that Q was being irrational with money and gambling it away.
Victor confronted Douda for coming to the party. Douda felt Victor was ungrateful for his investment in him. Now, he’s investing in Emmett. They both warned each other to stay out of the way…
While at the party, Emmett and Kevin chatted about his new place and the women in their lives. Emmett spotted how Maisha and Kevin were gazing into each other’s eyes and asked if they would get back together. He replied they were still trying to figure their relationship out.
Bakari approached Lynae, and she confronted him about being a street dude. He rebutted that he didn’t want to work to get by. She only agreed to it being temporary and stormed away…
Nuck apologized to Kiesha for not picking her up that night she was kidnapped and raped. Emmett arrived at the end of the exchange.
The social media love guru Marshawn (portrayed by DeRay Davis) attended the housewarming. The fellas sat and sipped, discussing love and heartbreak. Shaad sulked at his lack of employment being an ex-con.
EJ cursed at the party, which sparked a parental debate between Emmett/Kiesha and Tiff/Rob’s households.
After the party, Darnell confronted Douda about his housewarming gift, threatening him if anything bad happens to Emmett and his family.
Don’t Worry
Later on, Bakari met with Lynae to apologize. She urged him to get out of the game and expressed her concern. Then, they kissed and made up…
Victor asked Fatima to move in with him despite them dating only a few months. Fatima was convinced and agreed!
Kenya was impressed with Papa’s handling of the customer and asked him on a date. Initially, he showed his immaturity and tried to clean it up, but the moment was lost.
On the ride home, Tiff saw firsthand how rap music negatively influenced EJ’s behavior and language.
That evening Emmett lied about the housewarming gift, saying Douda gave him cigars. He checked his dresser and panicked because the gun was missing. (Unknowing his father had taken the pistol.) He calmed Kiesha and urged her not to worry…
