Previously on Special Ops: Lioness Episode 3, Cruz’s alibi for a bruised face is a car accident. Despite this, Aaliyah Amrohi invites her to a pool party in Atlanta. Cruz must get close to her without blowing her cover- hoping to find the location of her father, Asmar Ali Amrohi.
Warning… Spoilers below!
On Special Ops: Lioness Episode 4, the plot thickens as Joe learns of devastation in the field and at home…
No Good Deed
Aaliyah, Cruz, and the party crew were taken to the Hamptons to party on the beach. Joe and the team were surveilling the ocean in a yacht. While they reconned the mark, they saw the security team surveilling their boat, so they hired a pair of women to pose as party girls to throw off security.
Aaliyah dared Cruz to swim in the direction of the boat to get a chance to talk with her in private. She opposed her arranged marriage to Ehsan, but it was out of her control.
Joe and the team learned of Ehsan’s background. He was a Kuwaiti national. Yet she was puzzled as to why he was to wed a Saudi national and heiress of a known terrorist. Furthermore, how did this connect with the petroleum conglomerate…
Joe asked Tucker about the op with Kyle and learned it was a disaster. A hot extraction on the border, car wrecks, and casualties. She phoned him right before he met with higher-ups, demanding to know if he burned her.
Kyle met with Kaitlyn Meade and Byron Westfield, who confronted him about the hot border extraction. He was captured on border patrol security footage, and his superiors were livid about cleaning up his mess and keeping him out of jail.
He defended himself by justifying that he had five confirmed Al Qaeda members en route. Kaitlyn demanded proof while she sought to suppress the matter with the senators. Then, Kaitlyn demanded to speak with Joe, though she was busy covering Cruz.
Hard Lessons Learned
Joe’s teen daughter, Kate, was involved in a bad car accident and was transported to her father’s hospital. Neal aborted a surgery he was conducting to rush to his daughter’s aid and learned she had broken her leg, which required surgery. He also discovered his fourteen-year-old child was pregnant!
When Kate was stable, Neal spoke about the two things that could alter her life- cars and sex. Kate had broken their deal, teen joyriding, and getting pregnant. Kate was devasted to learn of one of her friends dying from the accident and being pregnant. Neal warned her of the complications that the fetus could be terminated from her upcoming surgery. If not, she has a hard decision to make.
Neal phones Joe to give her the terrible news. He urged her to come home in the morning. Despite the importance of the op, she agreed to return home.
Regrets
Later that evening, the wealthy adolescents attended a party. Joe wanted eyes inside the party. No team member was suitable, so she had to go undercover herself. Cruz felt the group didn’t trust her, so she blended in more by allowing a stud at the party to dance with her.
Joe received a call from Neal informing her that their daughter was pregnant. They both had regrets about sacrificing their children and family for their careers. It was paramount Joe returned home the next day.
Caught On Camera
Joe kept most of her attention on Aaliyah and missed Cruz at the bar. The guy she met, Paul, slipped something into her drink. When a fight on the dancefloor broke out, Aaliyah’s security immediately swept her out. Cruz was abducted by the man. Joe lost sight of Cruz and alerted the team outside.
They tracked her location to the woods, and Joe attacked the rapist before he performed any evil deeds on Cruz. The team hemmed him up, and Joe stomped his crotch, delivering a message never to attempt his stunt again. If he told who attacked him, they would return to kill him!
The team got Cruz back to the safehouse for recovery. Joe regretted sending her into the field so early. Kaitlyn arrived, wanting to pull Cruz- doubting her abilities. Joe rebutted as Cruz was their only line inside the terrorist group- they had never been that deep.
Cruz also told the team that Aaliyah’s wedding would be held in Dubai. There, the team could infiltrate the ceremony drawing the real target out… Aaliyah’s terrorist father!
Joe left the safehouse with Kaitlyn en route home. While on the ride, she received the truth about the hot extraction in Texas, and her team was caught on camera…
